Etsuko is a quiet and shy child who puts on a cold demeanor around others, often speaking very little. Despite this, Etsuko is no means disrespectful. Often making sure she treats them with respect, even if she is withdrawn. Etsuko enjoys solitude and quiet, but that doesn't mean she likes being lonely. Etsuko will often enjoy the company of others like her. Etsuko is fiercely protective of those she cares about and will protect them to her last breath. She cares deeply for and is incredibly loyal to her clan along with the Kitsune, often to the point of blind loyalty. She also has a strong perfectionist nature it the point where failure isn't an option. Etsuko will often use her competitive nature to her advantage, using it as a way to push herself to reach new heights and abilities. Despite her achievements, Etsuko often finds herself doubting her abilities and if she is strong enough to protect her village. 

Brief Background:
Etsuko's father was born into the Hitoyo clan and grew up learning the clan specialty. As he aged, he rose up the ranks until he ultimately tapped out at High-chunin at age 27. Etsuko's mother was born into a civilian family that is known for for producing quality seamstresses. She grew up in rich district learning her family's craft. The two met when her father needed a high quality kimono for an important clan meeting, and the two slowly began to become close until eventually they got married two years later.

Etsuko was born 4 years later, her mother was 31 at the time with her father being 33. Growing up inside the compound, Etsuko was rather shy and had trouble making friends, ultimately only having a few acquaintance playmates within the Hitoyo and Kitsune clans. She preferred spending time with the many cats in the compound than with the other children. When she was enrolled at the academy, at six, Etsuko became even more closed off and antisocial. Speaking very little, Etsuko was only able to maintain one or two friendships, but she kept even them at arm's length. 

Etsuko found herself opening up a bit more once she placed on her first team, but to others she seemed just as closed off. It took several years, but she found herself opening up more and more to others like herself and even a few outgoing others.   

-Only 50% Hitoyo, her father is full blooded while her mother came from outside the clan
-Has given every cat in the compound a name
-Prefers the company of animals over people
-Her face gets very expressive when she is frustrated or upset
-Has very sharp canine teeth 
-Has freckles EVERYWHERE
-Had a really bad lisp when she was younger
-Her back and right arm are covered in sever burn scars after the academy explosion
-Her right arm is covered in bandages and she wears a metal arm guard with the Hitoyo crest on her forearm
