 ---  Mio's family has always served the clan as either their warriors or monks, with very few ever going into civilian jobs. As such, Mio never had any doubts about following the path of a shinobi and takes great pride in serving her clan. Her loyalty is thus far unwavering, and she would gladly lay her life on the line for her clan without much question.

    Her childhood consisted mostly of training with her father from the age of six, leaving little time for Mio to play with others her age. It's not that Mio wasn't allowed or given the opportunity--she simply loved training with her parents more than kicking a ball around on the playground. This lack of socialization is probably the root of her harsh, judging personality, especially towards other clans. Her mother often tries to open her mind at least a little more, but these attempts often fail. Her mother also attempts to warn her about the dangers of the life of a shinobi, but Mio clings tightly to the stories of her ancestors dying in glorious battle for their clan. As such, she glorifies injury and death more than she fears it. She has never encountered such devastation up close.

Mio was on good terms with all of her siblings throughout her childhood until recently. Tsubaki, her youngest sibling, shows great promise in everything Mio hopes to achieve and yet does nothing with these talents. Mio is bitter towards Tsubaki as a result, and neither talk to each other often. ---

[ Family ]

• Nobu - Father (Alive)
    ○ A warrior that has mastered his sight and the Aoki's sixth sense. Very self-controlled and dedicated to the Aoki's way of life. Though he loves his family deeply he has trouble expressing himself, coming off as distant. Mio deeply respects her father and they bond primarily through training and meditation. All his children train with him personally.

• Shiori - Mother (Alive)
    ○ A clan monk with a Red Panda summon. Though she's equally as dedicated to the Aoki lifestyle as her husband she has a harder time reigning in her emotions. She is the more talkative and openly affectionate (or hostile) of the two. As such, Shiori is more active in her children's personal life, and Mio often goes to her for issues outside of her training (though Shiori will help with family training sessions when available).

• Hanae - Younger Sister (Alive)
    ○ A fifteen year old that aspires to be an Aoki warrior. Has an unhealthy obsession with Great Pandas. Her twin is Sayuri, and they often fight over which clan panda is the "best" clan panda. She is the loudest and most outspoken of the siblings, taking after her mother. Nobu has her meditate longer than the other to try curbing her lack of self-control. Mio and Hanae are on good terms, though Hanae views her as a rival and often challenges her to spar when the two get together. Has yet to win a fight.

• Sayuri - Younger Sister (Alive)
    ○ A fifteen year old that aspires to be an Aoki monk. Has an unhealthy obsession with Red Pandas, and often fights with her twin Hanae on the matter. She is quieter than her twin counterpart though less sure of herself, constantly worrying if she's fit to become an Aoki monk or a shinobi at all, for that matter. Sayuri is closer to her mother than her father since her mother is more capable of talking her through her personal problems.

• Tsubaki - Younger Sister (Alive)
    ○ A fourteen year old that has great potential. Skilled in all that she attempts, Tsubaki has uncanny control over her senses and shows promise in utilizing even the sixth sense. Nobu often pushes her harder and keeps her longer in training sessions. Unfortunately, Tsubaki shows little personal interest in becoming the Aoki ideal her father wishes her to be, and so their relationship has become strained on a personal level. Tsubaki is known for skipping out on training to pursue her interest in the arts, including flower arrangement, painting and writing. Because Tsubaki shows such promise but refuses to pursue what is, in fact, Mio's own personal goal, the two are distant and hardly talk. It should be noted, however, that Tsubaki greatly wishes to be close to Mio again.
    Hanae and Sayuri often try to recruit her into their panda wars, but Tsubaki is indifferent to pandas.

[ Who She Is ]

Mio usually speaks formally to those around her, though her formal tone may not always be polite. She is known to make arrogant remarks, judge others quickly and often speaks her mind even when completely out of line. 
Overall this makes her a poor team player, as she assumes she is everyone's better and can do things herself.

Should someone prove she isn't the best fighter in the room Mio will either gain a serious case of hero-worship or become a bitter rival.

Mio respects strong people, and while this most obviously applies to strength in combat Mio is aware that there are other ways for a person to be strong. If someone is emotionally or mentally strong, for instance, they will earn Mio's respect just the same as someone who has mastered Taijutsu. When Mio's respect has been earned she is actually polite and far more cooperative.

Mannerisms:

- Will go from formal and polite to formal and arrogant ass very quickly.
- Can get serious cases of hero-worship, namely towards her clan leader, the kage, etc.
- When deep in thought, Mio chews on her knuckles. They're scarred up because of this.
- Rarely smiles. She may smirk, but she rarely, truly smiles.


- Is often stiff around others because Mio is never really comfortable she hates everyone apparently.
- Mio will often try to forcefully "improve" others. This can range from forceful sparring to buying them new clothes she thinks are "better" than their current ones or just generally trying to force someone to change.

• Hates Genjutsu-users. She thinks genjutsu isn't "really" fighting and considers it cowardly/cheap.

Mio hates Hibiki customs, from their flashy clothes to their insane parties and ridiculously elaborate courting rituals. If you are of Hibiki descent, you will find Mio to be even more of a hassle to deal with. Situations that would normally earn her respect are blown off and disregarded, making friendship with Mio very difficult if not impossible.

Mio is also a very pragmatic person and at times can be outright cold. If given a choice between an emotionally-driven choice, such as saving a small child, versus a pragmatic choice, such as saving an important stronghold, she'll pick the pragmatic one every time.
