Notable Changes during the Time-Skip :

Ever since she was little, Raiha has always been a rather unruly and active child. She has gotten herself into trouble on many occasions, some of which left permanent scars. Raiha has had a near-death experience as on a certain occasion, she was exploring nature as usual, eventually following a bear-cub into its cave where the angry mother bear felt threatened by Raiha's presence and attempted to maul her to death. Tarou rescued his daughter in time, but the event left Raiha bearing a large scar on her back.

As she spent most of her childhood alone, Raiha wasn't too aware how to behave around people and as such, she was often thought to be odd. She is a carefree person and does not usually dwell on things for too long. As she grew up and found friends, Raiha grew more comfortable around people. Her fascination with ninjutsu and elements has made her life goal to be becoming a ninjutsu master.

Following her father's death, the loss of her teammate and her twin brother's seclusion, Raiha changed her views on things. She realized that she was, in fact, a weakling. She realized the times they lived in weren't as bright as they seemed to her before. While still generally appearing as a carefree girl, Raiha now harbours bleak feelings inside her heart. Feeling greatly betrayed by Akihiko's disappearance from the village during the time-skip, Raiha joins Yuki's side against Akihiko as unloyalty and betrayal are the things she despises the most.

During the time-skip, the village becomes unstable as Clan Feuds arise and wreak havoc among the people. Her time spent watching everything from the shadows as her family copes with everything that's happened made her start contemplating on things more. She realized at present, the village felt much like a cage. As she spends time alone surrounded by nature, unable to share things with her brother, Raiha's heart darkens as the feeling of loneliness begins to seep in. Fear grows inside her at the thought of being left alone and being unable to be free. She wishes she would not have to lose anyone anymore.

In the last year of the time-skip, Akihiko returns to the village. At first, Raiha thinks about going straight against him as soon as possible but looking back at her realizations and her twin brother, she decides to instead keep quiet and keep training to become strong, setting Akihiko as her inspiration for what kind of strength she wishes to surpass and what kind of leader she would wouldn't want the village to have. She vows to herself to never give up and become the strongest she can be, her new life goals being to become known as a legendary elementalist and to do all in her power to see the village become a place for everyone, unburdened by Grudges of the Past. A peaceful Haven where the light of the lanterns can once more fill the starlit skies.

Nui, on the other hand, is still the same old Nui. He still hates all people except Tarou and Raiha, and does his best to be neutral to Raiha's family. Hs neutrality towards Akihiko has grown into disrespect and to Nui, Akihiko is now part of the lowly scum that is the human race.  He spent some time in solitude and silent grief after Totorou's passing, but it didn't take too long for him to stop dwelling on things gone by and look to the future of the foxes and their Kitsune partners. Unlike Fuuko, Nui did not inherit the Ancient Yokai Fox traits and as such, his breed and size remained unchanged. Although he will never admit it, he is kind of jealous of Fuuko and feels that Raiha should have undergone Yokai training as well. Even so, Nui believes that he can push himself to his limits and be a strong Fox despite not being able to awaken his full potential as a Yokai Fox.
