Kioshi Takagama (Pure Hawk-Sickle)

Personality

Kioshi was raised to be polite, but can be overly formal. He tends to get enthralled in mental games very easily, often forgetting important tasks if he isn't careful. He enjoys all activities of a mentally challenging nature, and will always accept a challenge to his intelligence, but he doesn't react well to slights against his mental fortitude. His overly formal tendencies, however, make it difficult for him to connect with his peers. He is a good conversationalist once you get passed the formal speech. Kioshi tends to miss social cues, such as sarcasm or jokes. He does, however, have a very good grasp of sexual innuendos (at the fault of his father) and often expresses his distaste for them. He also has an irritating habit of flipping a coin continuously. Kioshi is also quite attached to those he cares about, and will do anything, even neglect his own needs, to make them happy.

Additional Notes

Kioshi's parents are retired ninja, Tokishi (his father) and Hiromi (his mother) (not massively famous or powerful; they retired when Kioshi's older sister was born; they didn't rise above Genin). His sister, Mai, is five years older than him, and blind. He's very protective of her. At a young age, Kioshi accidentally set fire to himself near a jar of oil. His sister, in an attempt to put it out, accidentally spilled the oil onto herself, and the fire spread to her. While the fire was put out, it left Kioshi pyrophobic and his sister blind.

Childhood: Kioshi was not born into a rich family (which is why his parents were ninja) and they struggle to get by. Despite this, Kioshi was raised to be polite to everyone. He took this to the extreme and never used informal speech. While attending the academy, he maintained a high theory mark, and a low practical mark (with the exception of genjutsu). He made Genin at twelve, and has remained so till sixteen (now).
